| Frequently Asked Questions |
| Question:
What is the turnaround time for an order ? |
Answer:
We try to process every order within 4-5 days. We cut certain materials on
certain days. Today we might be cutting sheets of plywood and your order may fill a gap
and be processed the same day it was placed. Other days we may be cutting
solid wood and your plywood order will be held over till we cut all the other plywood
orders. However, the vast majority of jobs will be shipped within 5 business days. |
| Question:
What if I have a deadline to meet. Can you give me a faster turnaround ? |
Answer:
Yes. We try very hard to work with peoples deadlines. We have been known
to cut and ship within 3 hours of the order being placed. However, there is a rush charge
of 25 percent or $30.00 whichever is the greater. You must also pay for overnight
delivery. The extra charge is to discourage those that are not truly on a deadline.

| Question:
Is there a minimum order ? |
Answer:
No. It costs us no more to cut one item than it does to cut 100 items.
However, shipping & handling charges may be more than the cost of the order. |
| Question:
What about large quantities. Can I get a price break or wholesale price if
I order on a large scale ? |
Answer:
This is taken on a case by case basis. As mentioned above it costs us the
same to produce one item as it does to produce 100 items. CNC machining of small
irregular shaped parts such as letters is a slow process at best. Materials remain
constant also since you are unlikely to need the kind of quantities it would take to get
any reduction in price from the lumber supplier. Labor is also a fixed cost. In
general, quantities of more than a few hundred are actively discouraged since the time to
produce them bogs down our process. For a complete understanding of the
dynamics involved please click here |
| Question:
I have shopped around and you are more expensive than most. What's the
deal ? |
Answer:
The old adage, you get what you pay for. We want to produce the best
product available and we take the extra time to do just that. Check the list of what we
offer versus what the competition offers:
- Our solid woods are always knot free,
cut from kiln dried furniture grade materials that are drum and edge sanded on 4
sides to 220 grit and hand detailed.
- We offer 12 choices of wood from
Mahogany and oak to cedar and pine, plus 2 sided water resistant MDO plywood for
exterior use and high grade Baltic Birch plywood for economy interior use.
- We will cut virtually any font style
you need if it is cutable. We have over 1000 fonts on file and can get many more including
foreign languages, lower case letters, punctuation, symbols, Greek and roman styles,
company logo's and just about anything you can imagine.
- We offer letter depths from 1/8"
to 1½" and letter sizes from our smallest letter ever cut of 1/2" tall to
30" tall or wide, whichever is the greater.
- We offer free help to design your sign
from concept to production providing design tips and free artwork within limits. You can
even consult with us via phone at our cost !
- Mounting hardware and installation
templates are also available which makes your sign so easy to install even a novice can do
it.

| Question:
Do you have a catalog ? |
Answer:
No. Our web site is our catalog. Besides, we produce everything to the
customers specifications and never have product sitting around on shelves getting dusty,
dinged and oxidized. |
| Question:
Can I buy your products at local stores? |
Answer:
No we are the sole manufacturer and supplier. |
| Question:
Can I return the products if I don't like the style or they don't fit my
space ? |
Answer:
Your order is custom cut specifically for your project. In general
we do not accept returns based on your not liking the style or because you ordered letters
that were too big or too small. We offer free phone based and email based assistance to
ensure that you have a good idea of what the letters will look like prior to ordering. We
can also advise you what size will fit within any given space. It is up to you to
request this help prior to placing an order. We will accept returns based on
manufacturing defects and workmanship. Plywood's however are notorious for having edge
voids which we fill with waterproof epoxy prior to shipping. This is not considered a
defect since all plywood's have voids and can suffer delamination due to faulty
manufacturing processes at the plant where the plywood was made. We will replace any
plywood product that delaminates except in the case of Baltic Birch Plywood that has been
used outdoors since it is not designed for outdoor use. All Letters should be
properly sealed or coated for outdoor use and will void the replacement warranty if not
done. Failed letters may be required to be returned for inspection at our
discretion prior to replacement. |
